The colour coded buttons which are displayed for each runner relates to a different area of the form guide with extra information available and while the buttons show the correct colour green (above average), amber (average) and red (below average) the clicking of these will merely take you to the associated help file, brief description of each of these is found below.

Horse FormThis area displays the previous races in which the runner took part and can be useful when deciding on whether todays racing event will suit a runner and the button in this example is green which means above average.

Racecourse FormThis is the course form area and there are five gauges which display the form for horse, sire, dam, trainer and jockey, as with other areas its colour coded and the button in this example is green which means above average.

Jockey Head To HeadsThe head to head section of the form guide lets the user compare one jockey against another in a race and the result is expressed as a percent of the time our chosen jockey will finishing in front of the compared jockey and the button in this example is green which means above average.

Trainer Head To HeadsThe head to head section of the form guide lets the user compare one trainer against another in a race and the result is expressed as a percent of the time our chosen jockey will finishing in front of the compared trainer.and the button in this example is green which means average.

The jockey and trainer winning zone lets the user know when they are most likely to get a winner and keeping an eye out for these types of runner which has either the jockey, trainer or both in their winning zone can pay dividends and the button in this example is red which means jockey and trainer are not in their winning zone.

Horse Racing Betting SystemsWhen this button is displayed in green it means the runner which is being viewed qualifies for at least one of the betting systems in our historical betting systems books and all years from 1992 can be downloaded as a pdf by full members.and the button in this example is red which means the runner has not qualified for any systems in the books.

RACECOURSE FORM

The course specialists area lets us know that the dam and sire are both excellent and with average scores elsewhere it will be classed as a runner above average.

WINNING ZONE

When viewing the jockey and trainer winning zone the signs do not start off as good because the jockey is not in their but Gary Moore the trainer is in a very good position so for this runner we will say above average.

HEAD TO HEADS

This next section of the form guide that we are going to be looking at is the head to head results for both trainer and jockey and for this particular runner we can see Niall Houlihan and Gary Moore both appear to be above average here.

CONCLUSION

There are good and bad runners in all races but here is one of the better ones with a rating near the top in this event and the sire also does very well in the course specialists area of the form guide so a live contender.

30

  000000 Choral Bee (GB)

10yo Bay Mare out of the sire Oratorio (IRE) and dam Chief Bee (GB) and will come out of stall 0

RACECOURSE FORM

Here we have another runner which has an above average score when looking at results for the course specialist ok I will admit that the mark awarded to the horse is low but overall above average.

WINNING ZONE

This runner is described as below average based on the trainer and jockey winning zone and it was very easy to come to that conclusion because both trainer and jockey are well off the mark here for this event.

HEAD TO HEADS

We move onto the head to heads for this runner and the jockey does not really measure up here with a poor record against others but the trainer Alan Jessop is only average so the overall verdict will have to be below average

CONCLUSION

Read a bit about this runner and the form rating is what we call typical and that is not really how things should be for a live contender so another one that we can leave out of the equation here and move on.

34

  0000 Ri An Rian (IRE)

6yo Bay Gelding out of the sire Arcadio (GER) and dam Live A Lot (IRE) and will come out of stall 0

Trainer
Laura Mongan

Jockey
Harry Teal (5)

Weight

Headgear

RACECOURSE FORM

In the racecourse specialists area the runner is right at the top with top marks for horse, trainer, jockey, sire and dam so is to be considered excellent in this area.

WINNING ZONE

This runner is described as below average based on the trainer and jockey winning zone and it was very easy to come to that conclusion because both trainer and jockey are well off the mark here for this event.

HEAD TO HEADS

Looking at the trainer first who is Laura Mongan and in the head to head section there is an average record on display and as far as Harry Teal the jockey it is the same sort of thing so we can only say a typical runner here.

CONCLUSION

A runner from the Laura Mongan stable and with Harry Teal in the hot seat things are not great as the head to head results are just average which is the same as the form rating for this horse so would not advise this one.

36

  012003 Demon Fou (FR)

6yo Bay Gelding out of the sire Le Fou (IRE) and dam Nevka (FR) and will come out of stall 0

Trainer
Jeremy Scott

Jockey
Nick Scholfield (0)

Weight
12-02

Headgear
No Headgear

RACECOURSE FORM

First glance the runner looks around average but after closer inspection of the course specialists area results I think it should be getting placed in the below average box.

WINNING ZONE

In this area we see that todays trainer is not in their winning zone and while that is not enough to say the runner is poor but when we then see the jockey the same we can only possible say below average.

HEAD TO HEADS

These results here for the head to head section of our form guide for this runner appear to be above average overall and this is mainly due to the trainer being excellent, jockey not so good but still about average.

CONCLUSION

Overall a very good looking runner here for this event with one of the top ratings for this race and the horse itself also scored well in the course specialists area of the form guide so worth bearing in mind here.

35

  000020 Light Gunner (IRE)

5yo Bay Gelding out of the sire Lawman (FR) and dam Neve Lieve (IRE) and will come out of stall 0

Trainer
Richard J Bandey

Jockey
Harry Bannister (0)

Weight
11-12

Headgear
No Headgear

RACECOURSE FORM

In the course specialists area the dam has a poor score but that is off set by the above average mark for the trainer so I think we will call this runner average.

WINNING ZONE

With todays trainer Richard J Bandey being out of their winning zone its not a good start and gets worst when we realise that the jockey is the same and all this means another below average type for this event.

HEAD TO HEADS

Taking a look at the jockey head to head record against others in this race and we see a good result but do the same for Richard J Bandey the trainer and we get a different story and that is one of a poor record, mix the two and it becomes average.

CONCLUSION

Trainer did well in the course specialists area for this runner and the form rating is one of the better ones in this race and altogether we would therefore say it must be seen as a contender here for this event.

1

  Joly Maker (IRE)

5yo Bay Gelding out of the sire Saddler Maker (IRE) and dam Joly Coeur (FR) and will come out of stall 0

Trainer
Jonjo O'Neill

Jockey
A P Heskin (0)

Weight
11-07

Headgear
Hood

RACECOURSE FORM

Some runners rate better than others and this one does not really do anything as its in the middle, the horse does have a good mark in the course specialists but the sire is bad.

WINNING ZONE

One of the poor runners in this event due to both Jonjo O'Neill the trainer and the jockey A P Heskin being both outside of their winning zone and you may of anticipated better but no its certainly below average here.

HEAD TO HEADS

Both A P Heskin who is the jockey and trainer Jonjo O'Neill appear to do well in this area and the results suggest that both of them or the team if you like are very capable of a good showing and would be seen as above average in this event.

CONCLUSION

There is not much I can find with this runner which could suggest that a win might be possible here at FONTWELL and in view of that the recommendation would be to give this Jonjo O'Neill runner the swerve.
