Ayr Silver & Gold Cups 2012
This is only a quick newsletter to
give you a couple of points for this weekends big
meeting at Ayr racecourse where we have the running
of both the silver and gold cups which as we all
know contain a large number of runners and is very
difficult to predict the winners.
With that said the rewards for
selecting the winners usually makes it worth while
so I decided to look through the last few running's
of these two races to see what sort of help the
ratings can provide
Considering the very large fields
that these two races always have I was quite
surprised at the number of winners the ratings have
pin pointed over the last four years.
In 2010 the horse ratings which
are marked _H_ in our form guide selected Redford
for the ayr gold cup which won at odds of 14/1, the
same year Colonel Mak was pin pointed by the sire
ratings _S_ for the silver cup and won at very long
odds of 33/1.
Moving onto the following year the
sire ratings again proved themselves in the silver
cup where Cheveton was the top rated on this
occasion and won at odds of 12/1.
So while we don't have a bucket
full of winners this could very well prove to be a
good starting point for these two races.
